Turkey steaks with chips and peas
Quick-cooking turkey steaks pan-fried with a little paprika and butter until golden, with oven chips and peas. Lean, cheap and ready in under half an hour.
Ingredients
- 500 g Turkey steaks, 4 steaks
- 1 g Paprika
- 1 g Black pepper
- 15 ml Olive oil
- 15 g Butter
- 0.5 Lemons, cut into wedges
- 800 g Oven chips
- 400 g Frozen peas
- 40 g Ketchup
Method
- Heat the oven to 220°C (200°C fan). Spread the chips on a large tray and bake for 25 to 30 minutes, turning once.
- Pat the turkey steaks dry and rub them with the paprika and a little pepper.
- When the chips have 10 minutes left, heat the oil in a large frying pan over a medium-high heat. Fry the steaks for 3 to 4 minutes each side, adding the butter for the last minute and spooning it over, until golden and cooked through with no pink inside.
- Cook the peas in boiling water for 3 minutes and drain.
- Rest the turkey for a couple of minutes, then serve with the chips, peas, a lemon wedge to squeeze over and ketchup.
